When I introduce myself, I often say:
Hello, I am the owner and founder of the Tyed Together Network. I’m the person who ties things together for people.
What started as a clever play on words has become the foundation of everything I do. At my core, I’m a connector. I take moving parts—people, ideas, systems, and moments—and align them with intention so each detail works in harmony to create something meaningful.
Before launching the Tyed Together Network, I spent over a decade in education. I began my career in Louisiana as a third-grade reading teacher, and after relocating to Houston in 2015, I served as a fifth-grade math teacher and later held leadership roles including Acting Principal, Instructional Leader, SPED Administrator, Math Department Chair, and Assistant Principal. Education taught me how to lead with vision, manage complexity, and collaborate across diverse stakeholders—skills that naturally translate into building experiences, systems, and organizations.
In 2024, I transitioned into the private sector as a Business Support Manager and earned my MBA in Human Resources. That chapter deepened my understanding of operations, people systems, and sustainability, and it solidified something I had already been practicing: building environments where people can thrive.
This website isn’t just a portfolio. It’s a reflection of my journey, my values, and my passion for creating intentional connections—whether through experiences, travel, or culture-building work.
